After completing
his undergraduate degree at Thompson Rivers University in
business and tourism, Ross joined the
Abbotsford International Airport Authority (YXX).
From 1999 through 2004
Ross served in various capacities at YXX with his last position being
Marketing and Promotions Manager. Ross contributed to YXX’s growth from
approximately 2,500 domestic passengers per year to 422,000 passengers
annually, developing short and long haul domestic and international air
service which lead to YXX being Canada's second fastest growing airport
for five consecutive years.
In 2005 Ross joined
Air North, Yukon's Airline on a one year assignment as its Marketing and
Sales Manager. Ross helped the Airline realise an above industry average increase in
passenger volume through fresh advertising and product development
programs, plus new business relationships. In the same year Ross was
recognized with the Thompson Rivers University Alumni Award for his
contribution to the successful development of YXX.
Outside of Altitude Consulting, Ross spends his time
developing HotelGymReview.com, a user review website that ranks hotels based partly on the quality of a hotel's gym. Ross is also co-founder of Enerjet, a niche Calgary, Alberta based charter airline company, plus has contributed to the early development of Classic Canadian Tours, which focuses on uniquely Canadian tours and destinations. In February and March 2008 Ross took the helm of SnowBus, a low cost motor coach operation for youth with scheduled service during the ski season between Metro Vancouver and Whistler, as Acting President and CEO.
